Summary
The Business Analyst works closely with stakeholders, management, and technical teams to understand business objectives, gather requirements, and translate them into clear documentation that guides project execution and operational enhancements. This role requires strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and the ability to interpret data, trends, and workflows to recommend practical and effective solutions that align with organizational goals.
On a daily basis, the Business Analyst engages with internal and external stakeholders to collect, clarify, and validate business requirements through meetings, interviews, workshops, and document reviews. They analyze existing business processes, systems, and performance metrics to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks, while proposing improvements that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction. The role involves preparing detailed business requirement documents (BRDs), functional requirement documents (FRDs), process flow diagrams, use cases, and data models to ensure a shared understanding among all parties. A Business Analyst regularly collaborates with project managers and development teams to support solution design, clarify requirements, and ensure deliverables meet agreed specifications. They also participate in testing activities by reviewing test cases, validating outcomes, and ensuring solutions fulfill business needs before deployment. Monitoring project progress, tracking action items, and managing requirement changes are essential daily responsibilities to maintain alignment and minimize scope creep. Additionally, the Business Analyst analyzes reports and dashboards, interprets data insights, and presents findings to leadership to support strategic planning and operational decisions.
