Summary
We are a small, friendly nursery based in the beautiful countryside of the Peak District. Due to our recent expansion and the opening of our under 3s provision we now take children from 12 months to 5 years of age. We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual who is passionate about working with early years children.
Our ideal candidate will hold a minimum of a level 2 in Early Childhood Education and at least one year's experience of working within an early years setting however we are willing to consider supporting the right person to begin their career in early years.
You will need:
* A love of working with children and an interest in outdoor learning and forest school.
* A good understanding of child development or a willingness to learn and progress your career.
* Excellent communication skills with children, parents and colleagues and the ability to work in a busy environment.
* You must be willing and able to work both as part of a team and also independently using your own initiative.
* A good understanding of the importance of safeguarding and health and safety and the willingness to ensure nursery policies and procedures are followed at all times.
We are a term-time only nursery but we do run a holiday club for three days per week during most holiday periods. We are closed for two weeks at Christmas and for 2 weeks over the summer holiday period. We only run the holiday club for one week of the Easter holidays.
We are in a position to accept both full and part-time applicants.
