Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Degree in Art, Art & Design or a closely related discipline.
• Strong subject knowledge in Art and the ability to teach it effectively across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Understanding of GCSE Art & Design assessment requirements and how to translate these into classroom practice and student-friendly guidance.
• Effective classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive climate for learning.
• Ability to differentiate to support students with a range of needs and prior attainment.
• Good organisational skills, including managing deadlines and maintaining accurate records of students’ progress and attainment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues across the department and wider school
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and the wider personal development of students.
