Further details about the role
A Day in the Life
As a Catering Assistant, your main responsibilities will involve the preparation, cooking, and serving of fresh, healthy, and delicious food. You'll also play a key role in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, assisting with deliveries, and ensuring all tasks are carried out in compliance with health and hygiene requirements. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, sometimes noisy environment, and will require you to be on your feet for long periods and carry heavy items.
Commitment to safeguarding
At Wimbledon College we recognise our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils. We make every effort to provide an environment in which children and adults feel safe, secure, valued and respected, and feel confident to talk if they are worried, believing they will be effectively listened to. We are alert to the signs of abuse and neglect and follow our procedures to ensure that children receive effective support, protection and justice. Child protection forms part of the school’s safeguarding policy.
