Summary
Key Responsibilities:
- Dog Walking: Safely walk dogs, ensuring they get the exercise and playtime needed.
- Pet Care: Provide fresh water, treats (if approved by pet owners), and maintain a safe environment for each dog.
- Basic Commands: Reinforce basic commands (e.g., sit, stay, heel) as directed by pet owners to promote good behaviour.
- Observation: Monitor the dog's health and behaviour, reporting any concerns (such as changes in behaviour, appetite, or injuries) to the pet owner.
- Customer Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with pet owners, providing updates as needed.
- Safety Protocols: Use secure leashes/harnesses, avoid encounters with unknown animals, and ensure dogs are always safe.
- Scheduling Flexibility: Adapt to the dog's schedule, weather conditions, and last-minute client needs.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations while performing all duties.
- Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience with Dogs (Essential).
- Qualification in Dog Care (Desirable).
- Clean Driving Licence (Essential).
- Confidence with Sharp Dogs (Essential).
