Summary

Nursery Room Leader/Third In Charge (Level 3) – Pre-School Room



The nursery provides early years care within a homely, well-organised environment, with cosy indoor spaces and a well-used garden that supports daily outdoor learning. This role sits within the pre-school room and carries third-in-charge responsibility, working closely with senior staff to maintain consistent practice. The position is full-time and permanent, offering stability and a clear structure.

What You’ll Need



  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)

  • Recent experience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner, ideally in pre-school

  • Good working knowledge of the EYFS framework

  • Ability to support staff and manage daily routines

  • A calm, consistent approach to early years care



What You’ll Do



  • Lead the day-to-day running of the pre-school room

  • Support staff within the room and maintain consistent practice

  • Plan and deliver activities in line with the EYFS

  • Work closely with management as part of the leadership structure

  • Build professional relationships with parents and carers

  • Maintain safeguarding, health and safety, and quality standards
