32.5 hours per week Term time only (38 weeks per year)Actual salary £24,260 - £27,680 (fte: £32,070- £36,585) salary scale 5/6Start Date: ASAPSutton Tuition and Reintegration Service (STARS) are seeking to appoint an Outreach Support worker to join our creative and dedicated staff team.
STARS was judged as outstanding in the most recent Ofsted inspection (February 2024). We work with children and young people with complex medical needs who are unable, either temporarily or longer term, to access their mainstream school. The majority of pupils attend the Drapers Centre in Carshalton where they are able to access the curriculum in small groups in a nurturing and therapeutic setting. Other pupils may receive 1-1 individual tuition at various sites within the London Borough of Sutton including the school room at the Royal Marsden Hospital.This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals wishing to make a real difference to young people’s lives.
