Summary

We're looking for a Community Steward to join our West Northamptonshire team based in Towcester. In this role you'll represent our organisation within the community, responding to public enquiries and helping to maintain a safe environment. This position includes participation in emergency standby and call out which involves weekend, evening and early morning working on a three-week rota.



Location: Towcester Depot, Northamptonshire - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.

Hours: Permanent Fulltime 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?As a Community Steward, you'll work collaboratively with our Network Intelligence Centre to assess and address emergency highway concerns, while representing both Kier and West Northamptonshire Council with professionalism and care.

Your day to day will include:

-Inspecting and responding to public enquiries, completing minor repairs where possible

-Collaborating with operational teams to ensure all emergency defects are made safe

-Engaging with customers and stakeholders to maintain positive relationships

-Participating in emergency standby and call out duties on a three-week rota

-Promoting best practice and identifying opportunities for improvement
