Summary

Our Cleaning Operatives play a vital role in ensuring our venues are clean, tidy and safe to use for all of our colleagues, members, customers and visitors. We currently have opportunities for a variety of part-time hours across our venues in the City Centre and at Newport International Sports Village.

Main duties include:

- Working to a cleaning schedule in accordance with operating procedures to clean all venue areas to a high standard
- Immediately report any defects or issues in the venue or with the equipment to the Cleaning Supervisor or Duty Manager / Leisure Operations Officer on duty
- Observe all regulations related to Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) and the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974).
- Undergo all relevant and required training

Our venues rely on the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene, so taking pride in your work is a must. This can be a demanding, physical role, and can be challenging during busy periods.

Essential Requirements

- Good awareness of health and safety practice
- Capable of working without constant supervision

Beneficial to your Application

- Working knowledge of a variety of cleaning methods, and the use of cleaning materials and equipment
- Knowledge and application of COSHH
- Experience of working within customer-facing environments
- Experience working in a leisure or theatre environment


Hours:
We have a variety of part-time hours available, covering the operational hours of our venues. Shifts are available for early mornings, days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. We will work with you to create a rota that works for you and for us, and there will also be the opportunity for additional hours for shift cover.

Pay:
Real Living Wage (currently £12.60 per hour)
