Summary

Undertake a full range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations in line with national and local clinical guidelines. Manage a mixed caseload including Gynaecology, Abdominal, Renal and Testicular scans. Produce accurate, high quality reports and ensure all imaging is appropriately documented. Provide compassionate, patient centred care, ensuring dignity, comfort and safety at all times. Maintain effective communication with the insourcing team, clinic staff and referring clinicians. Ensure compliance with infection control procedures, GDPR and all relevant governance standards. Contribute to efficient clinic flow and support the reduction of diagnostic waiting times. The postholder will work independently within a community diagnostic environment. The role requires confident clinical decision making and the ability to escalate findings appropriately. The Sonographer will be expected to adapt to varying clinic demands and maintain high standards of practice. The service operates flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet patient demand. The service provides access to high quality, fully maintained ultrasound systems: Rodney Road Community Clinic: GE Logiq E10 (full probe suite) Oak Park Community Clinic: Samsung R20 (full probe suite) All equipment is maintained to a high diagnostic standard to support accurate and efficient scanning.
