Acute Medical Unit at Basildon Hospital is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Staff Nurse to join our dedicated and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, compassionate and confident nurse who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is committed to delivering high‑quality patient care.

As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will maintain the highest standards of nursing practice, ensuring safe, effective and person‑centred care at all times. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, working collaboratively with colleagues across all healthcare professions to support positive patient outcomes. Promoting harmonious working relationships and upholding safe working practices will be central to your role.

To clinically give and receive the patient centred handovers.

Ensuring that all drug administration in accordance with Legal and Trust Directorate Policies and procedures, assist with safe Custody, storage and Control of all drugs at ward level.

Ensuring that the discharge planning process starts on admissions to prevent delays and make good utilisation of Unit beds.
