Active Hull is on an exciting journey to transform how our city thinks, feels and talks about physical activity. We want moving more to become everyone’s business, part of everyday life, for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. To help us make this happen, we’re looking for a dynamic Marketing and Communications Officer to join Team Hull.
In this key role, you will lead the development and delivery of Active Hull’s marketing and communications activity, helping bring our Physical Activity Strategy to life. You’ll craft powerful campaigns, shape compelling content, and make sure our messages reach the communities who need them most.
From managing digital and social media channels, to producing high‑quality promotional materials, to elevating Active Hull’s profile locally, regionally and nationally you will be at the heart of how our story is told.
You’ll work closely with partners across the council, health, voluntary and community sectors to ensure our communications are joined‑up, meaningful and rooted in the lived experiences of Hull’s residents.

A strong communicator with excellent copywriting and digital media skills
Creative, proactive and able to manage multiple projects
Confident in developing and evaluating marketing plans
Skilled at building relationships with diverse partners and communities
Adaptable, motivated and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
Committed to equality, inclusion and enabling residents to shape what we do

This role is hosted by Hull CC, the successful applicant will work from different bases, including from voluntary and health sector partners bases, to help support the development of relationships, partnership working and integration to achieve our goal.
