A motivated workshop service engineer is required for our market leading global engineering client. The ideal Workshop engineer will have the below skills and experiences:

Good electromechanical, mechanical engineering experience and ability to read electrical and hydraulic diagrams
Engineering qualifications- mechanical, electromechanical or similar eg NVQ level 3, C&G, HNC, HND etc Apprenticeship trained
Good service engineering, maintenance engineering, repair engineering experience of engine run vehicles, large vehicles, plant equipment or FLT, HGV’s, access platforms or similar vehicles, automotive, vehicle mechanics
Full UK driving licence (80% workshop site based role with occasional site visits)
Desirable:

Repair experience of plant machinery or lifting equipment, lift trucks, access platforms, petrol run heavy vehicles, tanks, heavy lifting equipment, full training will be provided on construction plant equipment. Any industry where maintenance service of vehicles and using motors, pumps, valves etc
Experience of Test and Certification of equipment and forklift experience FLT (loading/unloading/despatch)
Ex forces / ex military/ ex defence /ex REME candidates who have serviced heavy equipment vehicles like tanks, helicopters, military trucks, HGV’s, FLT’s, tracked or wheeled vehicles are of interest

Key responsibilities of this service engineer role include;

Preparing plant equipment for market; adding Service Load indicators, SLI, safety controls, testing, logos branding, PDI
Provide efficient maintenance, service and repair of plant equipment & maintain health and safety
Diagnosing plant defects, equipment defects and plant failure (after training)
Visit sites to repair plant/equipment defects where needed, providing excellent customer service
