This isn't just a "fix-it" job; you will be our technical lead on-site, ensuring full compliance with BS 5839-1 standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Commissioning & Programming: Hand-over of complex Gent Vigilon and S-Quad systems.
• Maintenance: Routine servicing and reactive repairs of addressable and conventional systems.
• Technical Support: Providing expert advice to clients and mentoring junior/trainee engineers.
• Integration: Working with peripheral systems (AOV, PAVA, Gas Suppression, and Nurse Call).
• Documentation: Completion of digital certificates and site reports via our engineering app.
Essential Requirements
• Gent Accreditation: Must be Gent-trained (Commissioning/Basic/Advanced).
• Experience: 5+ years in the fire industry with a deep understanding of BS 5839.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Gent systems
• Qualifications: FIA Units or equivalent Level 3 Fire Detection & Alarm qualification.
• Clearance: Ability to pass a DBS/Enhanced Disclosure check.
• License: Full UK Driving License with no more than 6 points.
