Summary
CommunicationTo contribute, co-ordinate and receive information as part of a multi-disciplinary/multi-agency team to provide a co-ordinated and effective service to clients and carers.To manage assigned IT systems to communicate with families regarding the allocation of the services they receiveTo communicate effectively with professional colleagues and other agencies using range of IT and AV media and equipment (e.g. email, power point, intranet, internet, social media).To communicate accurate and sensitive information to clients and carers using an appropriate and accessible medium, taking into consideration relevant factors such as background, culture, gender, age and any physical, sensory or learning difficulties, adopting an empathetic approach at all times.To provide advice and information regarding assessment and intervention and communicate accurate information to others. Repetitive movements as required for data input Responsibility for StaffTo participate in the delivery of in-service education and training to staff and other disciplines and/or agencies as required.To support aspects of the induction and training of new starters within the service as required Responsibility for InformationTo maintain up to date clinical records for children and young people in accordance with CWPT policy and local departmental protocol and under the Data Protection Act 2018.To use and update in a timely and prompt manner current organisational data collection and clinic systems.To collate and analyze information under the guidance of the leadership team to inform service review and development. Research and DevelopmentTo support in departmental audit/research activity as required.To support/participate in service development projects and support in highlighting service development needs and opportunities as they arise. Physical EffortCombination of sitting, standing and walkingFrequent need to be seated for a considerable amount of time i.e. at a computerFrequent sitting or standing in a restricted positionProlonged periods of concentrationWorking locations will vary and may be office based or in a more clinical setting, travel to support services taking place at other Trust locations may be requiredPotential exposure to verbal aggression via telephone calls and face-to-face contactPossible risk of physical aggression from service users. Mental EffortTo independently write up clinical notes with accuracy and in a timely manner.To manage own workload under periodic supervision.To work with data systems containing complex information and statistics in order to provide reports. Emotional EffortTo be aware of the sensitive nature of information that maybe shared about the children and young people in our service and ensure that any issues are discussed in supervision. Working ConditionsTo be able to travel to community locations, taking a range of therapeutic equipment as required. OTHER DUTIES1. The post holder will be required to use a computer, either a stand alone or as part of a networked system, and will be responsible for the quality of information. The amount of time spent on this type of work will depend vary.2.
