The Estates team work across all of our sites to ensure safe, comfortable and operational environments, whilst based out of one site the ability to travel to all sites within the group is beneficial to develop knowledge of the group and the estates.

Facilities Technician assist in ensuring the effective and efficient running of the premises, highlighting and, where possible, repairing or recording as works required. Assist in Emergency Plans and Fire Evacuations, work on a shift system to ensure full supervision during college hours (inc evenings and weekends)

The role is based at Stockton Riverside College, minimum travel may be required to cover emergencies at Redcar and Billingham.

This role involves acting as a key holder to ensure the security and safety of the college premises, staff, students, and visitors. It includes supporting Site Supervisors with building and grounds maintenance, carrying out basic repairs, opening and closing the site, and conducting regular inspections to report required works. The post holder also responds to emergencies such as fire, flood, or break-ins, works shifts including evenings and weekends to maintain supervision, and supports the implementation of health and safety policies, alongside any other duties appropriate to the role.

Candidates with Hard Services FM knowledge and experience and some Health and Safety will excel in this role. Full system training will be provided.

Schedule
• The Group operates Monday to Friday, and this role is worked on a shift rota basis to ensure Estates cover across all sites. The Facilities Technician may be required to work a mixture of early morning and evening shifts, with occasional weekend working to support operational and service needs. Shift patterns will be planned in advance as part of a team rota.
• Flexibility is essential for this role, as working hours may vary to meet the requirements of the Group.
