Join us in this great and rewarding job, as our Positive Behavioural Support team Leader. You’ll manage our team to provide person-centred and strengths-based support to our customer (let's call them A) and help them reach their full potential.
A has complex needs including autism with a forensic history. They are in their 30s, and have a busy lifestyle enjoying visiting football stadiums, volunteering for a local charity, planning days out in London, Harry Potter World and Dr Who are some of their favourites.
What you’ll do
• You’ll manage a team of PBS Support Workers centred around a customer with complex presentation.
• You and your team will support customers with any aspect of their day-to-day living. You’ll work in a person-centred, strengths-based and psychologically informed way, so they can enjoy the best possible quality of life
• You’ll be in regular contact with your manager updating, escalating and reporting on all aspects of the service delivery.
• You’ll be responsible for planning and overseeing complex support working with customers who display behaviours of concern and may require personal care working alongside Home Group’s local multi-disciplinary team
• Motivating, directing, guiding, coaching and supporting your team to work with our customers.

You have
• Experience in CQC Regulated services, a Level 4 Diploma in Adult Health & Social Care or equivalent or prepared to work towards it.
• Worked as a Senior Support Worker, leading support for people with complex needs, or behaviours of distress.
• A patient and calm approach, able to adapt your style to X's needs, as well as to the specific occasion and circumstances, even when they challenge us.
• Great people management and motivation skills, bringing colleagues together to share information, best practice and fostering creativity.
• Experience of positive risk management, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of customers and colleagues.

The practical bits
• A has support on a 1:1 basis 24hr a day 7 days a week, shifts times usually begin at 8am and you’ll work a 12.5 shift. Each week there will be an admin day of 7.5hrs. You will also join our other team leaders in on call duties.
• Able to use technology to update create and update support plans, communicate with colleagues and complete online learning.
• We’ll make sure you have a fantastic induction with ongoing learning and support.
• You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
