Summary
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join their established dealership team in Colchester. The successful Vehicle Technician will play a pivotal role in maintaining customer satisfaction and vehicle safety.

- Competitive salary ranging from £35,000 to £40,000 per annum, with an additional annual bonus of £3,000
- Monday to Friday working pattern, with no weekends
- Standard 44.5-hour workweek, with shifts from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, and 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Fridays

Key duties:
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections, diagnostics, servicing, and repairs efficiently and accurately
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults and implement appropriate solutions
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and health & safety regulations
- Complete detailed documentation of work performed to ensure transparency and traceability
- Ensure all vehicles are returned to customers in optimal safety, reliability, and performance condition
- Liaise effectively with the service team and customers, providing professional advice where necessary
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic within a dealership or automotive workshop
- Proficiency with diagnostic systems, repair procedures, and industry-standard tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and independently when required
- Motivation to maintain and enhance vehicle safety, reliability, and performance
- MOT certification is preferred but not essential
