SEN Teaching Assistant – Independent Specialist School (Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove)
An independent specialist school in Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove is seeking to appoint a dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to support students aged 11–19 with autism spectrum condition (ASC/ASD) and associated learning challenges.
This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate, enthusiastic, and reliable individual who is committed to supporting young people with complex educational and developmental needs as they progress towards independence and adulthood.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and wider support professionals to deliver highly personalised learning and care. You will play a key role in helping students develop confidence, resilience, communication skills, and essential life skills.
Key responsibilities include:

Supporting students with ASD and additional learning needs within classroom and specialist settings
•
Assisting with the delivery of structured, engaging, and differentiated learning activities
•
Providing one-to-one and small-group support tailored to individual needs
•
Promoting emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and social communication
•
Helping to maintain a safe, calm, and nurturing learning environment
We are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who:

Has experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)
•
Is patient, empathetic, adaptable, and resilient
•
Works well as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
•
Has a genuine interest in specialist education and young people with additional needs
•
Is willing to engage in ongoing training and professional development
