What skills and experience we're looking for
Northern Education Trust, The Blyth Academy is seeking to appoint a Food Technician. The successful candidate will assist in providing a safe and efficient technical service for pupils and teaching staff, and work closely with teaching staff to support, develop and further extend the work of the department and the experiences of the pupils. You will support the teaching and learning in the Technology department on a day-to-day basis as directed by the Head of Department. The role of the Food Technician involves preparing equipment and food ready for practical demonstration lessons, at the end of each lesson you will ensure that all equipment is cleaned down and stored away securely. We are seeking candidates with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with both children and adults.

Salary Range: Grade 3, SCP 7-8, FTE salary £26,403.00 - £26,824.00, pro rata salary £11,664.00 - £11,850.00
Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year they are subject to an equated salary adjustment
Working Type:Part Time (18.5 hours, 39 working weeks, 45.942 paid weeks)

Please note: the post holder will be engaging in regulated activity, working mainly or wholly with children. This position is exempt from the rehabilitation of offender’s act 1974. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
