Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for an exceptional teacher to join our team in the Department of Philosophy and Theology. Both subjects are extremely popular and all members of the team are active in leading pedagogical developments across the school; the Head of Department is also a Lead Practitioner. We are looking for candidates with excellent subject knowledge, a commitment to innovative teaching and a passion for their discipline. Experienced teachers and ECT’s are welcome to apply.
All of our students study Philosophy and Theology in KS3; in addition we have a popular lunchtime Philosophy Club and offer the School Certificate in Philosophy to students in year 9. At KS4, all of our students study the full course GCSE and achieve outstanding results; in addition, we have a thriving Debating Society. At A Level, the Department offers both Philosophy and Religious Studies as discrete disciplines and again we are keen to build on the increasing popularity of these two subjects and the excellent results students enjoy.
