We are excited to invite applications for the post of Associate Assistant Headteacher SENDCo (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator) at Mossley Hollins High School, a highly ambitious and oversubscribed school with a strong reputation for excellence.

We are seeking an experienced, passionate and committed SEND practitioner to lead our Learning Support, Inclusion and SEND provision. You will be an active member of the Senior Leadership Team and ensure high-quality support for pupils with SEND, underpinned by strong systems, clear communication and excellent relationships with families and professionals. With the ability to lead, influence and inspire staff and students, you will uphold high expectations, champion inclusion and help sustain a school culture where every learner can thrive.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Detailed knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current statutory obligations.
• Experience of high‑impact management, with the ability to challenge, motivate, support and hold others to account.
• The confidence to lead with compassion and rigour, supporting staff and students to achieve their best.

• The ability to work strategically and operationally and play a vital role in the future development of the school.
• A passion for education and nurturing a love of learning in all students.
• Alignment with our school values of Manners, Hard Work and Honesty.

There will be a teaching commitment within the role, based on the successful candidate’s expertise.

Applicants must hold QTS and either already have the NASENCo or NPQ for SENCOs qualification, be working towards it or willing to work towards it.

Mossley Hollins High School is an 11-16 Co-Educational Academy in Tameside, Greater Manchester. The school is currently rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and serves over 900 students.
