Quality Engineers and Senior Quality Engineers read on! Are you interested in working in the manufacture of regulated and high-integrity equipment? I'm working with a company who are expanding their Quality tram and have roles available as an engineer or a senior engineer.
Roles/Responsibilities
Quality Engineer
- Support NPI and APQP activities, ensuring quality deliverables are completed
- Compile, review, and support submission of PPAP documentation, ensuring readiness for volume manufacture
- Investigate customer, supplier, and internal non-conformances, applying root cause tools and driving effective corrective actions
- Conduct and support internal, external, and supplier audits, including oversight of special processes
- Maintain product traceability and quality records, including Lifetime Records, material certification, and CFSI controls
- Develop and maintain Control Plans and support process validation activities
- Work closely with customers, suppliers, and project teams to resolve issues and support compliant product release
Senior Quality Engineer
- Own quality delivery across NPI and major programmes, ensuring right-first-time outcomes in a regulated, safety-critical environment
- Lead APQP execution end-to-end, driving cross-functional teams through gated milestones to volume production
- Act as the quality authority within project teams, providing clear direction, challenge, and decision-making
- Take full accountability for PPAP readiness and customer approval, ensuring robust evidence and compliance
- Lead complex non-conformance resolution, setting containment strategy and ensuring long-term prevention
- Provide oversight of special processes, launch readiness, and supply chain capability
- Safeguard accreditation, nuclear safety, and regulatory compliance through disciplined quality leadership
What We're Looking For
Quality Engineer:
- Experience in quality engineering within a regulated manufacturing environment (nuclear or high-integrity preferred)
- Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and NPI, supporting transition from prototype to production
- Competent with core quality tools (FMEA, MSA, SPC, capability, root cause techniques)
- Able to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and manage traceability, LTRs, and material certification
- Familiar with auditing, special processes (welding/NDE), and ISO-based QMS environments
Senior Quality Engineer:
- Proven ownership of end-to-end APQP, PPAP (Level 3), and NPI quality delivery
- Extensive hands-on use of quality tools, statistical analysis, and process validation
- Strong background in auditing, non-conformance leadership, and corrective action governance
- Deep experience managing traceability, Lifetime Records, material certification, and CFSI controls
- Demonstrated success in nuclear, pressure equipment, defence, aerospace, or similar regulated sectors, with clear safety-culture awareness
