Cover Supervisors – Flexible short-term and long-term roles available across Tavistock and surrounding areas
These flexible opportunities are ideal for individuals who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged in their learning.Duties as Cover Supervisor:

• Supervise classes during teacher absences, following provided lesson plans
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Support pupils with their learning and answer questions where possible
• Report any issues or concerns to senior staff promptly
• Uphold safeguarding standards and promote the welfare of pupils

Ideal Cover Supervisor:

• Previous experience working in a school environment is desirable
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• Ability to engage and motivate pupils
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A flexible and adaptable approach to working across different schools
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
