This is a fixed term role until March 2027, with a salary of circa £36-40,000 per annum. This is a role that requires visibility across the region, supporting our management teams with regional strategic people plans and coaching and developing them to improve organisational performance and ensure effective people management. The People Manager is responsible for working with the People Business Partner to deliver the people strategy that enables staff WithYou Cornwall to thrive in their roles and to enable them to meet our vision and aims. This work will be done in partnership with all staff and working closely with the Head of Service in Cornwall. The postholder will work closely with the People Business Partner and People team to support/lead on the delivery of work across the whole employee lifecycle looking at how we recruit, develop, onboard and retain highly engaged staff. The role will lead on developing a positive and inclusive working culture, contributing to the exceptional client outcomes our Cornwall service delivers. As our People Manager in Cornwall you will be working on specific projects: Driving completion of investigations and disciplinaries - including tracking progress and ensuring they are dealt with according to timescale and training management on processes Supporting investigations of a more complicated nature, particularly in relation to Dignity at Work and implementing feedback to create an inclusive culture across our services Providing HR training sessions for our managers, including performance management and sickness absence Leading on any HR feedback or improvements resulting from staff surveys Championing and supporting managers in reducing sickness levels Essential Skills We'd be excited to see applications from candidates with evidence of: Chartered membership of the CIPD or significant demonstrable experience of partnering on all aspects of people management in a senior role Expert HR knowledge, including employment law, TUPE and complex employee relations cases A HR professional who has previously worked in a standalone role Proven experience of working with senior stakeholders, with the ability to advise and influence through trusted leadership skills A proven track record in managing and delivering multiple HR projects with the ability to plan, identify and mitigate risk The ability to work independently, drive change and adapt your approach The flexibility to travel with your region where required DE&I As an organisation, we continue to build an inclusive culture that encourages, supports and celebrates the diverse voices and experiences of our staff.
