Summary
To co-ordinate, facilitate, provide and deliver a range of sport and physical activity opportunities within the communities of Powys. To work closely with community sports clubs, schools and other key stakeholders in order to encourage, promote and increase participation, raise standards, and to deliver on the cross-cutting agendas of health &
well-being and the Visions of Powys County Council, Sport Wales and the Welsh Government.
About you:
• A passion for increasing participation in sport and physical activity, with a commitment to supporting inclusive, community-based opportunities
• Strong partnership-working and relationship-building skills, especially with schools, clubs, leisure providers and local stakeholders.
• Programme planning, coordination and delivery skills, including the ability to map need, design interventions and organise events, festivals and competitions.
• Confidence in monitoring, evaluating and reporting, with the ability to collect data, assess impact and produce reports for Powys and Sport Wales.
• Excellent communication and promotion skills, including using digital
platforms, social media and community-focused messaging to engage
participants.
• A commitment to health, wellbeing, safeguarding and equality, ensuring
safe, high-quality experiences that align with Powys values and Welsh
Government priorities.
