Randstad Education is proud to recruit a specialist Autism Lead Tutor to join a pioneering alternative provision for young adults (aged 16-25). Set within a meticulously converted barn, this role offers a serene and therapeutic learning landscape, where open fields and the natural world serve as the backdrop for academic and personal growth.

This is a full time permanent position and you will be required to support five days a week Monday - Friday inline with school hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and lead a bespoke, learner-led curriculum centred on the "Pathways to Adulthood."
  • Direct and mentor a small team of 1:1 support staff to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
  • Create meaningful, hands-on learning experiences utilising the rural setting and wildlife.
  • Manage all assessments and documentation during your dedicated weekly "admin day."
  • Partner with the Mental Health Support Worker to integrate emotional well being into daily learning.

Preferred Skills:

  • Deep understanding of sensory processing, communication barriers, and complex needs.
  • Ability to translate long-term goals into engaging, individualised daily projects.
  • Proven experience delegating to and motivating support staff.
  • Skilled in non-traditional, therapeutic teaching methods without the constraints of Ofsted.
  • A full, clean driving licence and access to a car.
