Clerk to the Board of Governors
Minehead First School • Minehead Middle School • St Michael’s First School
We are looking for an organised, professional, and discreet individual to take on the role of Clerk to the Board of Governors across our three Minehead schools within Beacon Education.
This is a key position at the heart of school governance. You will provide expert administrative support, ensure the board meets its legal duties, prepare agendas and minutes, offer guidance on governance processes, and help maintain high standards across our schools.

This role offers approximately 200 hours per year, paid at Grade 13 (points 6–11) which is currently £25,989 - £28,142 FTE.
Additional hours may be claimed for clerking ad hoc panels—such as Complaints, Suspensions, Permanent Exclusions, Staff Panels—or for approved CPD opportunities.
This role will involve evening work.
