Summary

Clinical Responsibilities Provide a comprehensive community paediatric service, including neurodevelopmental and neurodisability clinics. Undertake developmental assessments and manage children with ASD, ADHD, DCD, and global developmental delay. Deliver multidisciplinary neurodisability clinics for children with cerebral palsy. Prepare high-quality medical advice and reports for EHCP processes and other statutory assessments. Maintain responsibility for the clinical management of patients under your care. Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with information governance requirements at all times. Teaching, Training and Education Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes. Supervise and support paediatric trainees and junior doctors attached to the service. Contribute to departmental teaching, peer review, and continuing professional development activities. Clinical Governance, Audit and Research Actively participate in Trust clinical governance arrangements. Undertake and support audit and service evaluation. Engage in research and quality improvement activity where appropriate. Maintain professional development in line with Royal College and GMC requirements. Management and Leadership Contribute to service planning and development within community paediatrics. Work collaboratively with Clinical Leads, the Clinical Director, and multidisciplinary colleagues. Support effective use of Trust resources and participate in agreed management arrangements. Attend and contribute to departmental and Trust meetings as required. Professional Responsibilities Comply with GMC guidance on Good Medical Practice. Participate in annual appraisal, job planning, and revalidation. Complete all statutory and mandatory training. Uphold Trust values, particularly respect, professionalism, and patient-centred care.
