Summary
Your new company
You will be joining a leading UK civil engineering organisation delivering a large, long‑term highways improvement scheme in the Nottingham area. This project forms part of a wider programme to modernise key transport routes, enhance safety, improve traffic flow, and support long‑term regional growth.
Your new role
You will be primarily responsible for ensuring the quality of works delivered on site through daily inspections, while also driving continuous improvements across the project to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and in line with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage site engineers and support supervisory teams with day‑to‑day site operations
- Support project leadership in achieving exemplary health, safety, environmental and quality performance
- Oversee quality control and ensure full understanding and compliance with project specifications
- Provide technical engineering support, ensuring technical challenges are resolved efficiently
- Take a proactive approach to resolving unexpected technical issues on site.
- Lead and maintain accurate setting‑out and dimensional control to ensure the correct construction of works.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Demonstrable experience (5+ years) on large-scale infrastructure projects
- Ability to plan ahead and effectively delegate to engineering teams
- Valid CSCS/CSR card
- Strong understanding of relevant regulations, legislation and health & safety requirements
- Full UK Manual driving licence
- Excellent attention to detail, planning and organisational skills
