Our client in Crewkerne, Somerset is looking for an experienced CNC Mill Setter who will be responsible for setting and operating 2,3 and 3+2 axis mills, producing small to medium batches.
Responsibilities:
· Set and operate CNC Milling machines. Programming experience is advantage but not essential.
· Inspect finished parts using various measuring instruments and conduct 1st off inspections on other machines.
· Confidence in adjusting machine settings with minimal supervision
· Maintain tooling, replace inserts as needed
· Complete deburring operations as described
· Perform basic machine maintenance
· Operating overhead cranes – training will be provided
Requirements and Skills:
· Minimum 2 years previous experience operating CNC milling machines using Fanuc and Heidenhain controls
· Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
· Understanding technical drawings
· Adherence to health and safety regulations
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
