Summary
We are looking for someone to manage purchasing and supplier ordering, while also supporting the sourcing of specialist Korean and Japanese ingredients in response to customer requirements within the hospitality sector.
Responsibilities
- Placing and managing purchase orders with Asian food suppliers and importers
- Sourcing Korean and Japanese grocery products based on stock and customer demand
- Identifying specialist ingredients requested by hospitality customers
-Supporting product selection and procurement using knowledge of Asian cuisine
- Supporting product-related enquiries, including ingredient and allergen information
Requirements
- Experience in procurement of food
- Strong knowledge of Korean and/or Japanese food products and ingredients
-Understanding of allergens and food safety requirements
Preferred
- Korean language skills (for supplier communication and sourcing)
- Formal Food Hygiene training. We require all employee to complete a Food Hygiene Level 2 certification
