About the Role:
Sodexo is seeking an experienced PMO Lead to manage and optimise the PMO workstream across our Project Management Function. This is a pivotal role where you will act as the Subject Matter Expert for Project Server and associated users, ensuring consistency, performance, and quality across all programmes and projects.

You will oversee the portfolio, translating project challenges into business language for senior stakeholders, identifying trends, mitigating risk, and driving continuous improvement in PMO processes and reporting.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and proactive professional to lead a PMO function that supports programme growth and delivers real impact across a dynamic, project-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the PMO/Mission Control across the project work programmes.

  • Optimise the delivery of projects, programmes, and portfolio objectives.

  • Translate project-specific challenges, decisions, and requests into clear business language for senior stakeholders.

  • Monitor and report on portfolio progress, key performance metrics, and programme health.

  • Ensure the right people are doing the right tasks at the right time to maintain programme integrity.

  • Identify trends across process, governance, cost, procurement, and operating models, recommending improvements.

  • Troubleshoot portfolio and programme-level issues and implement robust resolutions.

  • Capture and implement best practices to continuously improve PMO processes.

  • Provide monthly portfolio and programme reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Escalate issues affecting cost, delivery, quality, or programme outcomes to the Head of Projects or Contract Director.

  • Administer documentation and reporting within Docuware.

Main Assignments:

  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Project Leadership, and Workstream Leads to maintain programme delivery.

  • Coordinate and prepare monthly contract meetings with clients, contractors, and project teams.

  • Ensure credibility, accuracy, and quality of reporting across all programme stakeholders.

  • Influence and maintain robust relationships with the wider programme team and Sodexo colleagues.

  • Support full project lifecycles including process implementation, governance, risk management, change control, resource management, and financial tracking.

Required Criteria:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar PMO or project management role.

  • Level 4 UK qualification or equivalent in a relevant degree or training course.

  • Prince2 Practitioner or Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) Practitioner qualification.

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.

  • Experience using Power BI for reporting.

  • Strong organisational, communication, financial management, and project management skills.

Why Sodexo?

  • Work in a high-performing, collaborative team that values integrity, professionalism, and innovation.

  • Lead the PMO function on large-scale, complex programmes, shaping processes and driving continuous improvement.

  • Professional development opportunities to expand your skills and career within a dynamic, project-driven environment.
