What will my role be as a Creative Learning Coordinator - Children and Young People?
The purpose of the role is to coordinate the development and delivery of a dynamic, inclusive, and impactful Creative Learning
Programme at Touchstones. Working closely with the wider team, the post holder will help build and sustain stronger relationships
with youth services, education providers and key partners engaging them in the research, development and delivery of learning
resources, workshops, participatory activities and targeted funded projects. This includes contributing to the implementation of
the Creative Learning Strategy and supports outcomes around education, heath, wellbeing and cultural participation for children
and young people across Rochdale Borough and beyond.
What do I need to have?
* Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject or professional qualification or qualified by experience
* Experience of engaging and inspiring children, young people and adults in a learning environment
* Experience of devising, delivering, and managing learning programmes and outreach projectsam
* Experience of producing learning content for children and young people audiences
* Familiar with guidelines for risk assessments, health and safety and child safeguarding
* Proven ability to develop positive relationships with stakeholders, partners and members of the public including a diverse
range of educational providers
* A good understanding of how people learn and how to differentiate for various learning styles
* An awareness of local barriers to for children and young people and a willingness to learn about different subjects
* A passion for and understanding of art, history and science
* Practical creative learning skills and a passion for making collections accessible to different learners and communities
* Excellent communication; both oral and written and excellent interpersonal skills
* Excellent time management skills
