Summary
Community Care Worker
Eastbourne & surrounding areas
Flexible hours | Part-time available
More than care. A chance to make life brighter.
At Walfinch Eastbourne, we believe care should help people live well, stay connected, and thrive — not just get through the day. We’re redefining home care by focusing on activity, companionship, independence, and community, and we’re looking for Community Care Workers who share that belief.
This role isn’t about rushing in and out or ticking boxes. It’s about bringing life back into people’s homes.
What being a Community Care Worker with Walfinch Eastbourne looks like
You’ll support adults (18+) in their own homes to live independently and confidently. This may include:
Personal care delivered with dignity and kindness
Companionship — meaningful conversation, shared activities, being present
Supporting mobility and gentle activity (walks, chair exercises, gardening)
Helping clients get out into the community — coffee, classes, appointments
Encouraging routines, confidence, and social connection
Light household support to help people feel comfortable and settled
Every visit is shaped around one simple question:
“What do you want to do more of?”
Who we’re looking for
You don’t need to be “perfect” — you need to be kind, reliable, and human.
We’d love to hear from you if you are:
Compassionate, patient, and a good listener
Someone who enjoys helping others feel confident and included
Comfortable, encouraging gentle activity and engagement
Reliable, respectful, and community-minded
Open to learning and growing
Experience is welcome but not essential — full training and ongoing support are provided.
Why work with Walfinch Eastbourne?
Flexible working to suit your life
Paid training & development
Supportive, friendly local team who value you
Time to build real relationships with clients
A role that feels meaningful, not rushed
Opportunities to be involved in community events like Thrive Club, coffee mornings, and wellbeing initiatives
You won’t just be a carer here — you’ll be part of a community that cares.
Our promise to you
We believe great care starts with caring for our team. You’ll be respected, listened to, and supported — because when our carers thrive, so do our clients.
If you’re looking for work that feels purposeful, rewarding, and aligned with your values, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply today and help us redefine home care — one meaningful moment at a time.
