Summary
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced customs broker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in GB customs clearance & transit declarations, alongside client relationship management. This role requires excellent attention to detail skills and the ability to effectively utilise various software systems.
This role is a 4 on 4 off late shift role based in central Manchester. The shift hours are 12.00pm - 22.30pm.
Duties:
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Utilise customs software systems ASM Sequoia, NCTS, EMCS, IPAFFS, GVMS and all CSPs
Knowledge of customs compliance including tariff codes, eligible preference claims, CPC codes and import valuation adjustments
Coordinate logistics operations, including working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
Raise jobs and invoices and manage document uploads for our client tracking portal
Take on any other operational tasks assigned by your line manager
Knowledge & Experience Required:
Understand how to interpret commercial documentation
Ability to clearly communicate with clients
Minimum 2 years experience in making customs declarations in the UK to HMRC in CDS.
Ability to work both as part of a team, and independently
