We're looking for a Care Team Leader who shares our values and wants to make a meaningful difference every day. This is a role where your leadership, compassion and ambition will help shape the quality of life for the people we support - and inspire the team around you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To meet new customers and assess what care and support they need working with other agencies.
  • Provide regular, high‑quality supervision, support and annual reviews.
  • Recruit and induct new employees and volunteers alongside the Service Manager.
  • Deliver team learning workshops and carry out competency checks.
  • Foster loyalty, commitment and a strong sense of purpose within your team.
  • Ensure care plans and risk assessments are regularly reviewed and updated.
  • Manage medication administration safely and effectively.
  • Support quality audits, weekly checks and continuous service improvements.
  • Promote the service within the local community and support allocation panel meetings.
  • Work in line with Health & Safety, CQC Fundamental Standards, GDPR and Orwell's policies.
  • To provide workshops and awareness sessions on varying aspects of care provision alongside competency checks

William Wood House is located in a scenic location in the pretty village of Sudbury in Suffolk.

William Wood House is an Extra Care housing scheme, helping you to live independently for as long as possible. It gives you the security and privacy of a home of your own, with a range of shared facilities on the premises and 24-hour care services if you need them. It also offers couples the opportunity to continue living together.

A flat at William Wood House includes a modern kitchen, a bathroom (including a walk-in shower), high performance flooring, vinyl in the kitchen and all other wet areas and a selection of balconies and patios

Person Specification...

  • Level 3 in Health and Social care or above
  • Supervisory qualification or commitment to achieve within 18 - 24 months
