Summary
Neway International are seeking an Asset Management Officer (Housing) to join our client Swale and Maidstone Borough Council.
Location: King Street, Maidstone, Kent, ME15 6JQ
Hours: 37 hours per week
Start Date: 9 February 2026
Work Pattern: Minimum 3 days per week in the office

The Role
The Asset Management Officer will support the delivery of effective housing asset management, ensuring properties are maintained to required standards and that compliance, safety and investment priorities are met. You will work closely with internal teams, contractors and external partners to support planned and reactive works, data accuracy and asset‑related decision‑making.
(Key Responsibilities
Support the management and maintenance of housing assets across the borough.
Assist with planned maintenance programmes, stock condition surveys and compliance monitoring.
Liaise with contractors, internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery of works.
Maintain accurate asset data and contribute to reporting and analysis.
Ensure housing assets meet statutory, regulatory and safety requirements.
Contribute to investment planning and prioritisation of works.
Provide support across the Housing & Regulatory Services team as required.
Uphold organisational standards, policies and procedures.
Candidate Requirements
Experience in housing asset management, property maintenance or a related field.
Strong understanding of compliance, safety standards and housing regulations.
Ability to manage workload effectively and work collaboratively with contractors and internal teams.
Confident in maintaining accurate data and using asset management systems.
Eligible to work in the UK.
