About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. Our pupils are autistic and may have associated communication, sensory, and complex needs. We’re looking for caring, patient, and resilient individuals who want to help children thrive in a supportive, structured environment.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Work closely with pupils to support their learning, social, and emotional development
Prepare learning materials and assist with engaging classroom activities
Provide individualised support to help pupils achieve their personal goals
Support pupils’ physical and emotional wellbeing in a safe, nurturing setting
Collaborate with teachers and colleagues to deliver creative, tailored learning experiences
Contribute to a dynamic and stimulating school environment where no two days are the same
With the right training and guidance, you’ll develop valuable skills, grow professionally, and make a lasting difference within Overton School and the wider Outcomes First Group.
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from candidates who:
Hold GCSEs grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics, and a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Have experience working in a SEND setting and are motivated to support vulnerable pupils to achieve their potential
Are adaptable, patient, and caring, able to work across a range of learning environments
Work effectively as part of a collaborative team, with strong communication skills
Are committed to building trusting relationships and promoting an inclusive, supportive learning environment
