Initially a fixed term contract with the opportunity for the contract to be made permanent. Term time plus 5 staff training days, required as soon as possible.

Overview

Riseandnbsp;Carrandnbsp;Collegeandnbsp;is a Localandnbsp;Authority maintainedandnbsp;Pupil Referral Unit and Alternative Provision which serves the eight secondary schools in Darlington.andnbsp;Home and Hospital Teaching Service, another Local Authority service, is co-located within the building and Connect is a further provision based on theandnbsp;Hummersknottandnbsp;Academy site.andnbsp;Connect is a part-time provision for children to support transition to secondary school.andnbsp;

In addition to this, in September 2021 we opened Eldon House, an additionally resourced centreandnbsp;for children with Education, Health and Care Plans with a primary need of Social, Emotional and Mental Healthandnbsp;difficulties. The centre is based in aandnbsp;stand-alone building on the same site as Rise Carr College on Eldon Street in Darlington.

The Post

The successful candidate will take sole responsibility for the ordering, preparation and delivery of the school meals service at Rise Carr College.

Primary duties will include ordering stock, hot and cold food preparation and presenting meals to a high standard all performed while adhering to relevant food hygiene legislation. An understanding of safe food storage/cleaning practices is essential to succeed in this varied yet rewarding role. Excellent food and great service play a key part in our pupilandrsquo;s day.

You should have a proven track record in delivering a successful catering service, either in a school or similar setting, be able to deliver quality and healthy options and be willing to adapt the menus in line with the studentandrsquo;s needs.
