Summary

SEN Teaching Assistant - Day-to-Day Supply

Location: Primary Schools in Reigate and surrounding areas

We are looking for exceptional SEN Teaching Assistants to join our supply team, specifically supporting primary settings in the Reigate area. If you are a dedicated professional with a passion for Nurturing Independence in children, we want to hear from you.

This is a Day-to-Day Supply role, offering you the flexibility to work within the local Reigate community while making a profound impact on the lives of students with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).

The Role

As an SEN TA on supply, you will provide 1:1 or small group support for children with various needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, or physical disabilities.

  • Local Impact: Work within the Reigate primary school circuit on a flexible basis.

  • Tailored Support: Implement EHCP goals and adapt to different learning styles to help pupils thrive.

  • Nurturing Independence: Guide students toward self-reliance in a Supportive, Successful, and Safe environment.

  • Collaboration: Work alongside Class Teachers and SENCOs to ensure every child has a positive school day.

Requirements
  • Essential Experience: Proven experience working with children with SEN is a must.

  • Resilience: The ability to stay calm under pressure and manage complex behaviours effectively.

  • Knowledge: Familiarity with PECS, Makaton, or positive de-escalation techniques is highly desirable.

  • Commitment: A dedicated approach to student progress and a "lifelong learner" mindset.

  • Logistics: Ideally based in or near Reigate with a proactive approach to daily supply bookings.
