Job Description

The Best Connection are working in close partnership with our client to source an additional LGV C (HGV Class 2) DRIVER for their Middlesbrough based recycling operation.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 05:00am-14:00pm, 40hrs a week.

The Successful candidate will responsibly and safely drive the vehicles around the designated routes, collecting food waste, recycling and/or waste products from customer's sites and take them to the designated tipping site.

Duties:

* Drive and operate the vehicle safely around the required route, and to the required tipping point, in accordance with the driver's handbook

* Work with the vehicle co-driver/team to ensure that all properties on assigned routes are serviced efficiently and effectively, as per the collection schedule

* Ensure all jobs are recorded electronically on the vehicle tablets & all other paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and submitted were appropriate

* Ensure all daily checks are done on vehicles/loads and any defects reported as per procedure

This role can be physically demanding and is predominantly based outdoors.

Requirements:

• A current C (Class 2) driving licence
• A valid Driver CPC
• A digital tachograph driver card
• Previous driving experience

Rates of pay:

• Up to £23.06 per hour weekday overtime after 8 hours per day
• £15.37 basic rate first 8 hours per shift
