FRONT OF HOUSE CATERING & HOSPITALITY SUPERVISOR
Christmas & New Year Off – Every Year
Location: Edinburgh Academy Senior School, 42 Henderson Row, Edinburgh, EH3 5BL
Hours: 40 hours per week, primarily Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm
Additional hours: Occasional evening or weekend work for school events
Pay: £14.30 per hour (circa £27,885 per annum)
Contract: 52 weeks
Requirements: Full UK driving licence essential; own vehicle desirable

The Role
We are looking for a confident, people-focused Front of House Catering & Hospitality Supervisor to lead our front-of-house operation at Edinburgh Academy Senior School.You’ll play a key role in delivering a warm, professional dining experience for pupils, staff, and visitors, while leading and developing a dedicated team.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in quality hospitality who wants to keep high standards — without the burnout of late nights and unpredictable rotas.
What You’ll Do
- Lead front-of-house service for breakfast, lunch, and school dining
- Plan and deliver daily service and a number of showcase school events throughout the year
- Train, motivate, and support front-line staff
- Act as Allergen Champion, ensuring safety and clear communication
- Work closely with kitchen and management teams to deliver excellent service
- Maintain a welcoming, professional dining environment
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and compliance
About You
- Experience in hospitality or catering (supervisory experience preferred)
- A natural leader who enjoys motivating and supporting others
- Strong customer service skills with a calm, organised approach
- Pride in professionalism, presentation, and service
