We’re looking for a Retail Assistant to join our hardworking team at North Devon DistrictHospital, helping us deliver exceptional service to patients, visitors,and staff.
This is a hands-onrole where you’ll support our retail and catering areas, ensuring they remainclean, organised, and welcoming throughout the afternoon and early evening.
What You’ll Do
- Serve food and beverages with excellent customer care
- Clear tables and maintain a hygienic dining environment
- Carry out daily cleaning duties in retail areas and offices
- Follow cleaning schedules and use materials safely in line with COSHH guidelines
- Support stock rotation, restocking, and general upkeep of retail spaces
- Work as part of a friendly, supportive team to keep our spaces running smoothly
What You Bring
Essential:
- Experience in a catering or customer-facing environment
- Good communication skills
- Strong awareness of Health & Safety practices
- Flexible, organised, and able to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
- NVQ Level 2 in Hospitality, Catering, or Customer Service
- Understanding of infection prevention and control in healthcare settings
