Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the School of Engineering for a full time Engineering Lecturer with experience in Machining, fabrication, and welding.

The successful candidate will teach across a variety of Engineering courses from level 1-3 including automotive. You will be able to deliver engaging and interactive theory sessions that will motivate learners and link to industry, along with delivering practical sessions in a workshop.

You will put Teaching, Learning and Assessment at the forefront of everything you do and aspire to excellence in all areas of work. The successful candidate will value the learner experience and will be a strong role model for our learners.

The ideal candidate will be highly effective at managing time, meeting deadlines and must be confident that they can contribute to and improve our team.

You will need to hold appropriate professional qualifications and have experience in the engineering industry. Experience in delivering in an educations setting is desirable as is holding a teaching qualification however this is not essential as training and the opportunity to achieve a teaching qualification whilst working for the College will be provided. Assessor and/or IQA qualifications would be advantageous.
