Summary
Come and make a difference at Karbon as our Group Health and Safety Manager
We’re looking for an inspiring, forward‑thinking health and safety professional to lead our approach to keeping our colleagues, customers, and communities safe. This is a brilliant opportunity to shape and elevate our health and safety culture across the whole Karbon Group, ensuring we deliver safe, modern, customer‑focused services every day.
About The Role
As our Group Health and Safety Manager, you’ll be the strategic lead for all things health and safety across Karbon Homes and our subsidiaries. You’ll set the direction, champion best practice, and make sure we’re always ahead of emerging legislation, regulatory changes, and sector expectations.
You’ll work closely with colleagues at every level - from the Executive Team through to operational managers - to embed a strong, positive safety culture where everyone understands their role in keeping people safe. You’ll also lead our corporate H&S team, supporting their development and ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, customer‑focused services.
About You
You’ll bring a confident, collaborative approach to leadership, with the ability to motivate, coach and inspire others to deliver a strong and positive safety culture. You’ll have experience shaping and delivering effective health and safety strategies in a complex organisation, and you’ll feel comfortable acting as our lead competent person, providing clear, expert guidance at every level. Your ability to build strong relationships - both internally and externally - will help you influence key stakeholders and drive continuous improvement across the organisation.
You’ll use data, insight and assurance to support decision making and ensure we’re not only compliant but always moving forward. Calm and resilient under pressure, you’ll approach challenges with a solutions focused mindset and a willingness to innovate. You’ll be someone who leads with integrity, openness and a commitment to diversity and inclusion, and who naturally works in a way that brings people together. You’ll also hold a recognised professional Health & Safety qualification, with Chartered IOSH status preferred.
Working With Us
You’ll be part of our Governance team, led by Russell Hall, Group Director of Governance. If you’d like to know more about the role, feel free to reach out to Russell at 07907 729182 or at Russell.Hall@karbonhomes.co.uk
