Summary
The Commercial Directorate has an exciting opportunity for a full time Operational Team Leader role for the Private Patient Services based across our main sites . The Private Patient Operational team are based within offices at the JR, Churchill and NOC.
The post holder will be a highly motivated and experienced individual in the service sector, ideally with past knowledge about the private practice business or with a specific enthusiasm to learn. You will possess team management experience, an enthusiasm to provide a great service to patients and clinical teams, as well as an excellent attention to detail.
The post holder will manage the team of Private Patient Co-Ordinators to achieve high standards of patient bookings, as well as collect upfront payments and ensuring complete authorisation for all private episodes of care. You will co-ordinate the patient episodes with the divisional teams to ensure all activity goes to plan efficiently and effectively. You will liaise with consultants and clinical teams to enable simple and effective processes for enabling private care.
You will work with the Private Patient Finance Team Leader and team to co-ordinate effective billing processes and handle patient and staff queries.

OVERALL OBJECTIVES
• Be responsible for a team of private patient co-ordinators that enable highly effective and accurate bookings processes for all private patient episodes undertaken at the trust.
• Effectively and efficiently manage the customer relationship in respect of the Trust’s Private Patient business. This includes patients, consultants and all divisional staff.
• Be responsible for managing the patient experience of private healthcare in the Trust.
• Simplify and improve access to private patient services for the patient and the consultant.
• To ensure all insured episodes are fully authorised to ensure you are managing the financial risk to the trust.
• Be responsible for enabling upfront deposits where possible.
