Summary

Lime Tree Nursery is a family-run business with eight nurseries across Rotherham, Barnsley, North Notts and Sheffield, providing care for children from birth to five years. We create a home-from-home environment, fostering curiosity and child-led learning using The Curiosity Approach. We encourage children to think independently, nurture their enthusiasm for learning and prepare them for school and beyond.

The Role

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Early Years Practitioners to join our fantastic teams. You will work towards a Level 3 Early Years qualification, which involves weekly classes, with fortnightly visits from a dedicated tutor to ensure continuous support. The course duration is 8 months, after which you will become a qualified Early Years Practitioner.

We have roles available at various nursery locations:

Athersley, Carlton-in-Lindrick, Eastwood, Herringthorpe, Maltby, North Anston, and Thrybergh.

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively to deliver a child-led curriculum based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Observe, assess, and support children’s development using various teaching strategies.
Build and maintain strong partnerships with parents and caregivers to support children’s learning.
To ensure all apprenticeship lessons and required work are attended, completed, and delivered in line with the specified deadlines
Maintain a safe and stimulating environment both indoors and outdoors.
Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures, always ensuring children's welfare.
Be an active participant in staff meetings, training, and community engagement events.

Requirements:

NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Early Years is essential
Grade 4 or C in English is essential
Commitment to learning, even out of work hours
Understanding of EYFS welfare, learning, and development requirements.
Willingness to learn
Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
