Summary
Neway International are seeking a CSW – Senior Social Worker / Advanced Practitioner to join our client Barnet Council.
Location: 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London, NW9 4EW
Hours: 36 per week

The Role
This position sits within the Long‑Term Intervention & Planning Team, supporting children and families through CIN, CP, and court proceedings. The successful candidate will bring strong assessment skills, confident decision‑making, and the ability to manage complex caseloads within statutory timescales. This is a hybrid role, with approximately two days per week in the office alongside family visits.
Candidates must have a minimum of three years’ experience in a permanent social work role and be able to start quickly.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a varied caseload involving CIN, CP, and court work.
Undertake high‑quality assessments, care planning, and direct work with children and families.
Prepare clear, evidence‑based reports for statutory meetings and court proceedings.
Work collaboratively with multi‑agency partners to ensure effective safeguarding.
Maintain accurate, timely case records in line with legislative and local requirements.
Contribute to team development and uphold best practice standards across the service.
Candidate Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
Minimum three years’ experience in a permanent statutory social work role.
Strong background in CIN, CP, and court work.
Confident in managing complex cases and working within statutory frameworks.
Excellent communication, assessment, and report‑writing skills.
Ability to work flexibly within a hybrid model and start at short notice.
