Summary
We’re looking for a hands-on, reliable person to join our scrap yard team. The work is physical, outdoors and varied. If you don’t mind getting your hands dirty and you turn up on time, you’ll fit right in.
As a Scrap Metal Processor & Operative your role will include:
Sorting and processing scrap metal and waste,
Loading and unloading vehicles (by hand or using yard equipment)
Helping customers unload safely
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment
Using tools and machinery safely (training provided)
Following basic health & safety rules
What We’re Looking For:
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Hard worker with a good attitude
Physically fit and happy with manual work
Reliable and on time
Forklift or plant experience is a bonus, but not essential
Scrap yard, recycling, construction, labouring, or similar work is helpful — but not required
Steady work and reliable hours
Competitive pay + overtime
